SISTER CIRCLE
Fostering a community of sisterhood through:
Group mentoring with core group of 12 girls and their mentors plus additional 38 girls • Monthly professional speaker series providing the girls with in depth knowledge on topics related to Leadership, Empowerment, Achievement and Purpose • Peer-to-peer and adult-led mentorship • Hands on learning activities related to topics presented • Socialization, friendship and self-esteem building
Family Support
Promoting partnership, better communication and family engagement through:
Once a month meeting with guardians/families • On-line platform offering two-way communication with the family • Providing access to resources to meet the family's needs • Encouraging a network for the parents to feel supported by other parents • Quarterly workshops to help families better understand adolescent development (nutrition, peer pressure, relationship abuse and drug prevention) • Volunteer opportunities
